About Us

We are a no-barrier organization. All who hunger for food and hope are welcome.

Central Storehouse Ministries cultivates hope by providing wholistic life transformation through quality resources and relationships that build a healthier community.

In the fall of 2020, Central Bible Church, after years of prayer and outreach efforts to the east Fort Worth community, decided to begin the design and implementation of a food pantry ministry. After the door closed on an opportunity to build a future distribution headquarters for a faith-based food bank, the leadership of CBC believed that the Lord had not closed the door on a food distribution strategy for the community. Statistically, east Fort Worth ranks above the national average for food insecurity and there were few solutions within the area. The design of the ministry included extensive research of other food pantries in the region that were effective, and the vision of the Central Storehouse began to take shape.

Central Bible Church not only wanted to bless their community with a solution for food insecurity, but they wanted to focus on strategically creating a place for the church body and beyond to practically achieve the mission of CBC. That mission is to make God known, by making disciples, who are changed by God, to change their world. This mission of CBC has been a driving influence in the design of the Central Storehouse.

In the spring of 2024, Central Storehouse Ministries was legally formed as a 501c(3) nonprofit organization, operating separately from Central Bible Church, but under the guidance and protection of the church. Expansion of the ministry has evolved over the years to focus on wholistic health for people physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and relationally. The ministry also includes a focus on the next generation through student-based initiatives with a heart to move into Fort Worth ISD and engage the students, helping them build a healthy vision for their futures.
